OUR APPROACH: Do it right and don’t disappear

Electrical Consulting Services (ECS) was formed in 1991. A wholly New Zealand-owned company, it provides construction companies, property owners, property managers, developers and project managers with a highly skilled team of engineers that focus on quality of delivery.

The traditional way of planning electrical services was to view them as a subset of the overall engineering package, and assign the task to a junior team. This ran the risk of treating the electrical systems as a poor relation, with incomplete designs and a lack of detail. Needless to say, we thought there was a better way of handling the job!

When you partner with ECS you’ll be working with a team of engineers at the top of their game, all of whom have hands-on experience dealing with major projects. Over the years we have pioneered new concepts across many different building sectors, resulting in a range of innovative and cost-effective options for your project.

We take enormous pride in delivering a design that answers the brief and, just as importantly, makes life easy for the other professionals on the project. We follow the job through all stages of implementation, so you will have input from our team whenever you need it.

At ECS, we do not offer a single, standard approach to solving problems. Our objective is to generate options that identify the pros and cons of various approaches. This allows you to identify issues at an early stage and assess the most appropriate answer to your brief.

Time, cost and quality are the key drivers of our business. Every client has different needs, and our approach recognises this.

Quality processes you can depend on

Internal quality systems are implemented throughout the company to ensure procedures and documentation are uniform, correct and exceed the requirements of the project design brief.

Our quality systems are based on the ISO set of quality procedures. These provide you with assurance and easily integrate into external quality systems such as NZCIC documentation.
